Foundation Stone laying ceremony of SACS.  Bishop T.J. Chacko , Bishop of Jhabua laid the foundation stone. MP from Pune, Shri Suresh Kalmadi, Mayor Rajani Tribhuvan and SACS Principal, Fr. Richard Quadros were present. 400  people witnessed the programme.

The construction of the first phase of the school building was completed and the new building was blessed by President,  Fr. Stanislaus Lazar, the Manager Fr. Joaquim Fernandes, the Principal, Fr. Nicolau D’Costa and Bursar, Fr. Tomy Thomas.

The Superior General of SVD, Rev. Fr. Antonio Pernia and his Council of members, Fr. Arlindo Dias and Fr. Gregory Pinto visited the school.  The dignitaries were welcomed after which Fr. Superior General expressed his joy and encouraged and appreciated all.

Janitors’ Day – a new tradition was put into practice at SACS.  A special assembly was conducted for all the Janitor staff and  a  small token of appreciation was given to each one of them.

The Pre-primary  Block of the school was inaugurated.  The Chief Guest, Fr. Thomas Dabre, Bishop of Pune blessed the new school building  and Fr. Lazar Stanislaus inaugurated the building by officially. The Principal, Fr. Nicolaus D’costa, school staff, students and other guests were present on this occasion.

Grand 64th Independence Day celebration in SACS. The was Chief Guest Fr. Joe Francis, the Vice Rector of Divine Word Seminary Pune. Fr. Milan Bubak SVD, from Slovakia and Fr. Paulu Rahmat SVD from Indonesia were special guests for the event .

07 Aug 2012For the first time, a young music band ‘Live Jam’ performed a live show in the school auditorium. It was a part of their “Break Free Tour’. The purpose was to provide value based education and value based entertainment to students through the medium of music.
07 Oct 2012Annual students and staff School picnics wherein vogue  from the early years of SACS inception. However, for better exposure and experience SACS started with the trend of school excursions for students. 40 students of classes VI and VII accompanied by 4 teachers and Vice-Principal left for Bangalore and Mysore for six days school excursion.
30 Oct 2012The Annul Medical Camp for students was held for the first time in a large scale  with twelve doctors volunteering for the camp- The sections ranged from General, Dental, ENT to Ophthalmic.
26 Jan 2013The school initiated an attempt to streamline the admission process by issuing the admission forms online for Nursery and LKG with the relentless hard work of  the SACS IT team. The principal. Fr. Nicolau D’Costa  specially thanked them for their service.

16 Apr 2013CBSE Inspection Team from Delhi visit the school. The esteemed team members were Mrs Shiny George, Principal K.V. Mumbai and Mrs Rani Verma, Principal of Atomic Energy Central School,  Mumbai. The inspection was carried throughout the day beginning from the school assembly, school infrastructure, school documents etc.  Later the team addressed the staff and imparted valuable guidance on different aspects of CCE like conducting FA, maintaining anecdotal record, writing lesson plan etc. They also appreciated the infrastructure and work culture of the school. The Inspection ended at 5 p.m.
15 July 2013A memorable day for the entire SACS family. Former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Azad  blessed the school with his gracious presence. He signed the visitor’s register in the principal’s office and formally inaugurated the science laboratories. A short but meaningful programme was held in the school auditorium in his honour followed by his address . His simplicity and wisdom bowled over the entire audience -students, staff and guests.

16 Oct 2013A group of 49 students, 6 teachers and 1 non-teaching staff left for the school excursion to Hampi and Badami.
22 Nov 2013First ever Inter-House Quiz Competition was held in SACS School Auditorium. It was worked out by Tr. Arunima. Tr. Bhawana Rawat and Tr. Rajaniwith full support from the principal Fr. Nicolau D’Costa. The Quiz Master for the competition was Tr. Arunima.
20 Jan 2014Rev. Fr. Robert Kisala, Vice General Of SVD visited the school for  inaugurating the grotto of St Arnold Janssen SVD. On this special occasion the Provincial Superior of Mumbai Province, Rev. Fr. Paul Vattathara SVD, School manager, Rev. Fr. Joaquim Fernandes SVD and the school principal Rev. Fr. Nicolau D’costa were present. Later a short cultural  programme was organised in the school auditorium to mark the occasion.
16 April 2014Prize distribution ceremony for Inter-House Competitions – Basket ball ( boys), Throw ball (girls)  and Athletics was held in a grand scale . Winners were awarded medals and certificates . Emerald House emerged as the winner followed by Sapphire House, Ruby House and Diamond House.
16 April 2014A red -letter day for the SACS family and well-wishers. The school principal, Fr. Nicolau D’costa announced that the school  received the much awaited CBSE affiliation from the CBSE Board, New Delhi. He congratulated all the teachers and students and also urged especially the students of the 9th Std to  put in their best efforts as they would be the first batch to appear for the 10th Std Board examination in the coming year.
16 June 2014SACS bid  farewell  to the outgoing Manager ,Rev. Fr. Joaquim and Vice-Principal, Rev. Fr. Anil and  Fr. Dinesh. A short programme was put up by the students on this day. A short documentary highlighting some moments so far at St. Arnold’s Central school , Pune made everyone walk down the memory lane.  The new Manager, Rev. Fr. Thomas Malipurathu and Procurator, Rev. Fr. Thomas Pariyanickal  along with members of the new teaching staff were welcomed to the Arnoldian family.
04 July 2014Members of ES Solution Pvt. Ltd. demonstrated the activity based learning of Robotic and Science Learning Programme. Working models would be made based on science concepts. Students have enrolled and the robotic session would start from 13 July 2014
09 July 2014The newly elected Student Council formally took their responsibilities  with the Investiture Ceremony held on the school ground. The office bearers were presented with their badges and sashes .They vowed to act as role models for the others to emulate. The spirit of  being an Arnoldian seemed profound with the school and House flags fluttering proudly in the air.
11&15 July 2014A team of ten teachers gave a demonstration of Group Elocution to the students of Std I to IX. The idea behind this was to inculcate  the art of efficient public speaking and to motivate the students to speak eloquently, stressing on proper pronunciations, voice modulations and facial expressions.
18 &  19 July 2014CBSE Training Session was given to a group of thirty teachers in the School Campus. The training session was conducted by the Raisoni Group, a CBSE approved Training Agency for Capacity Building Programmes.  The Resource person who conducted the programme was Dr. Yasin Shaikh .
15 August 2014A special Mass was held in the A.V. Hall to celebrate the Feast of Assumption of Our Lady. Fr. Nicolau D’ Costa and Fr. Thomas were the main Celebrant for the Mass.

01 Oct  2014An Inter -Religious Prayer service was organised in School titled’ Let’s Pray for a Progressive India Remembering Our Great Leader Mahatma Gandhi’. Members of the school administration, staff, students  and parents participated in it. Inspirational recitations  from all religious texts, audio- visual presentations. Bhajan ‘ Vaishno jan to Tene Kahiye’ was sung by the school choir.
11 Nov 2014The Superior General of the Society of Divine Word, Rev. Fr. Heinz Kuluke visited SACS. A cultural programme was organised on his honour. Fr. spoke to the gathering in the auditorium appreciating the efforts put in by everyone. However, he stressed on the fact that  everyone should take care of the world and more so of the less privileged people.
12 Nov 2014Inter-School Rally was organised by the Pune Diocese under the guidance of the Bishop of Pune , Thomas Dabre. The rally aimed at spreading environmental awareness in the society through its future citizens. The rally began from Ornella High School campus, Camp and ended at St. Vincent’s School Camp. around 28 schools participated. SACS students Of VII c and D took part in the rally with three teachers., Tr . Bulu, Tr. Shaliniand Tr. Clare.
14 Nov 2014Mera Mini Mile’ a unique way of celebrating the Children’s Day  where each Arnoldian ran for a cause-‘Education for All’ , a Marathon was organised to bring awareness among students about the children who are deprived of education.  The principal, Fr. Nicolau D’ Costa flagged off the event  and each student ran with utmost energy and enthusuiasm. The route covered the School Campus and the SVD farm.
